Aluminum Paste Usage

The mix changes on the percentage of 'gloss/shine' you want the metallic ink to have.

Start with a 10:1 ink to paste mix. You can then add more paste to increase the metallic look of the ink.

If you mix too much paste then the ink becomes thick/ grainy and will not screen through the mesh, as the paste sticks to the strands - just mix in more of the ink to thin back down.

Aluminum Paste can be added to any colour, however is designed for use with the Gold & Silver Mediums. Perform a test print before use when mixing with other Aqua colours.

Pad Printing with Aqua Ink

Here's a tip from Robert L. Frazier in the UK about how to use Aqua Ink with pad Printers:

I have the Aqua Ink.  I use it for pad printing, in an open well printer.  It works extremely well for this purpose.  (I got it for screen printing, but ended up using something else.  It is difficult to find a good water based pad printing ink, so I was as pleased as Punch to find how well this worked.)  Not surprisingly, it starts to dry a bit when in the open well of the pad printer.  It is water based, so can one just add a bit of water to get it back to its original viscosity without changing the overall nature of the ink?

Best wishes,
Bob

Answer:
Yes you can simply just add a few 'DROPS' of water and stir the ink to get back to normal.
Use an eye dropper or small syringe.
