S-3604SK 4 Arm Screen Printing Jig from NEHOC Australia

Why 4 arms?

Screen printing inks will blend colour when printed together, so for multiple colours you need to print them separately - this being one colour per screen. With a 4 arm jig you can print 1, 2, 3 or 4 colours onto an items all at once.
NB: Depending upon your design you might be able to have 2 or 3 colours on the one screen if the design allows this

Registration of the colours is critical, or the design will simply look distorted. The 4 arm jig can be used for printing 1 to 4 colours with perfect registration of each colour, as the screen comes down over the item in the same place every time - making printing fast and more accurate than without a jig.

How it works:

  1. Colour separate your design into the different colours required and image a screen for each colour i.e. 3 colours = 3 screens

  2. Place a screen into each of the arms, in a rotating order (lightest colour to dark)

  3. Place a t-shirt (or item you will print) onto the printing board and place a copy of the FULL design (all 3 colours) on top in the correct printing position

  4. Lower the first screen over the design and when looking through the screen, align over the design on the item.

  5. Repeat this process with the other screens

Your screens are now all in alignment with the design you placed on the item - so it's important to get this straight/ correct first before aligning the screens.

Print 'off contact' with the 4 Arm jig

This jig is suitable for printing plastics, metals and items ‘off contact’, as the clamps allow up to a 32mm thickness using the Plastic Frame Mounts (25mm with Metal).

Print flat sheets e.g. stickers, magnets & signs or raised items e.g. pens, lighters, folders, etc.

Don't forget when printing 'off contact' to also get the height of the screen correct at time of alignment as well!
