The VistaFax Thermal Copier replacement from Germany is almost complete with the first pictures and details just released.
Production is to start January with prices and availability yet to be confirmed - more . .
IMPORTANT NOTE - Due to the unexpected discontinuance of the VistaFax Thermal copier system, these packages are no longer available.
The VistaFax Thermal Copier's were manufactured by MEMOFAX International of Copenhagen Denmark.
During the 1970's & 80's NEHOC purchased over 2000 of the 2UF model for processing the then RISOMASTER Thermal Ink Duplicating Stencils, Thermal Spirit Duplicator Stencils and Thermal O.H.P Films. In addition RISO ScreenMaster screen printing mesh was also imaged using these systems. NEHOC's association with MEMOFAX declined and eventually stopped in the late 80's when photocopiers became mainstream products.
Some three years ago NEHOC revived it's association with MEMOFAX after learning they had begun to supply a VistaFax 1UF machine. After importing over 50 of these machines we upgraded our orders and despite our many, many requests for delivery we could not receive a reply from MEMOFAX. NEHOC had over 4 separate orders for machines dating back over 4 months.
NEHOC approached the Danish Trade Commission's Sydney office for assistance and unhappily if has now confirmed that MEMOFAX has closed it's operation. Phone numbers/ fax/ web site/ e-mail numbers are all now discontinued. NEHOC has exhausted all available avenues trying to locate the owner Kurt Beyer. We have even been in contact with the firms accountants who advise MEMOFAX are not in bankruptcy, but have no contact or alternate address.
This places NEHOC in a serious supply situation - firstly that we now can not supply any current orders/ back orders and secondly this places an unfillable gap in our screen printing machine line up.
NEHOC hold spare parts for VistaFax 2UF and 1UF models, including Thermal Carriers, Glass Rollers, Heat Lamps, motors, fans & all general springs/screw/ etc.
We trust the above information details the current situation and sincerely regret the inconvenience caused.
