"Koska" The view from Here.
My daughter captured a photo of her cat
Koska sitting on a antique sewing machine. The machine was next to a sunlit window and all of this made for a beautiful scene. This was my first attempt at color separation because my art is usually pencil and line drawings. After scanning it into my computer I
used Photoshop to eliminate much of the background and then finished the drawing by hand, using pen and ink.I rescanned the drawing into Photoshop
as a color photo, cleaned it up, and used filters to enhance it. I brought it into Quark express as a tiff file and I shaded it to about 60% before I printed it at 6OOdpi on my laser printer.I separated it by hand and used two
screens to print. One screen was black ink and purple for the flowers. The other was florescent purple and florescent pink along with dark purple. That screen also included white. In retrospect I would have used a third
screen for a yellow background and off white card stock.![]() |
